I first wandered into your showroom three years ago and dealt with Martin Bamping who ever since has regularly been in contact and always making me aware of what was available from yourselves, he has always been extremely professional and despite it being a three year process before I actually purchased a car from David Holmes he never gave the impression that I was wasting his time and nothing was ever too much trouble for him in his pursuit of selling me a car. He was always notifying me when a car came into your showroom that matched the requirements I had requested. I finally purchased a car from yourselves and Martin dealt with the whole process extremely efficiently and personally at all times, even coming in on his day off when I came to collect the car to ensure the process went seamlessly! We came in with some quite specific requirements on what we wanted and what we could afford and Rik took the information and found us a suitable car within a week and made the whole experience very positive and actually very pleasant. I remember telling Rik that he didn't fit the stereotype for a car salesman and I meant that in a positive way as he really did go the extra mile and as a result I felt that we had a very high level of genuine customer service. I purchased a BMW 120 M sport convertible on 3.3.10 and have since received your letter.
I am absolutely delighted with my car, and I wanted to point out one of your employees, Martin Bamping, who definitely ''went the extra mile!''
Martin completely listened to what I wanted, wasn't pushy, but found me the exact car I wished for (which wasn't easy :-) )
I do agree that you employ some great people and came across many during my visits to the showroom, ie Matthew (finance dept) Frank (new car sales) but it was Martin who definitely went that extra mile!..

I am writing to you to compliment one your staff members, Nick Smith, for a great service. My car has always been serviced at David Holmes, however, as I no longer work in Stockport, I decided to use my local dealer for a warranty repair. What followed was a catalogue of errors and poor service. However, following a call to David Holmes, Nick took ownership of my problem and follwed it through to a successfull conclusion. Nick personally checked the car to ensure that it worked correctly.
I find all your staff to be highly courteous and caring from Kelly, Eddie etc on the front line through to all the service management that have supported me over the last 3 years.

I visited your showroom to ask about using the scrappage scheme to purchase a new 118d Sport. I was then introduced to Frank in new car sales as this was the best option, using the scrappage scheme to replace an ageing Mercedes. He did a great job, answering my endless questions, & I negotiated a price for that red car which I only dreamed I would get. The finance team also did a fine job with the interest rates.
My every request, made to Frank, down to Euro style Number Plates & Model debadging were all taken care of, he even recovered 8 months road tax back from DVLA for me!
I was very impressed and truly enjoyed the service I was given and have no problems in recommending your garage to my colleagues and friends.
I am also really impressed with my first BMW car. There is only one problem, I have only been able to drive the car on three days since I picked it up.....my wife is hogging it!!!!
I think I will be back.

From the moment i walked into the showroom, with my two young boys 8 and 6, i was impressed with your staff and the general feeling of well being. I ended up dealing with Rik Atherton. To sum Rik up i would just use the phrase, Spot on. He dealt with me the way i prefer. He didn't hassle me neither did he speak to me like "just another punter off the street".
I left the showroom that day hooked on BMW. The love affair was starting!
I have had the car almost two months now and still smile at the thought of the car, never mind when i am driving it.

I am writing with regards to the outstanding service I recently received from Mr Lilleywhite. Having now bought 3 cars from Rik, I have found him to be fantastic on each occasion but even more so on the most recent.
In November, I was unfortunately made redundant so approached Rik as I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to afford my car anymore & to find out what my options were. He was extremely understanding & helpful with my request to downsize from my X3 to a MINI.
From start to finish, Rik has kept me informed & up to date as to how things were progressing & I believe this to be Riks first sale of a MINI!

On the 21st November my lovely BMW saloon was damaged whilst outside my sisters house. The driver failed to stop and I was extremely upset, as a claim on my insurance would be my first in 30 years of motoring, in addition I would lose my no claims bonus.
On Monday 23rd November I attended your bodyshop in Stockport and the damage was assessed by the Manager Andy Coxon. Having obtained my quote Steve Farrington in reception explained everything I had to do with my insurance claim. The following day the car was booked in and I was given a courtesy car whilst mine was repaired. My car was returned to me on the Friday, and a I defy anyone to say where the car was repaired as it was so well blended in. At the time I could have done without the repair bill, as I had to pay the first £300.
Andy, Steve and Leanne were totally professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with and the service was outstanding. I did thank them at the time, however I felt I had to write to you, and although I don't know who worked on my car the repair as first class.

We are writing to let you know of our extremely positive experience following the recent purchase of our first BMW 1 Series from David Holmes, Stockport.
After browsing around the showroom for several minutes (after being welcomed by the staff on reception) we were approached by David Wong who was very helpful and solicitous in ascertaining our individual requirements. He listened carefully and then followed this through with further helpful questions to understand fully what was required.Throughout he was courteous, respectful and very knowledgeable. Everything was clearly explained and at no time did we feel pressurised into making a purchase.
The test drive was a particularly pleasing experience, as after explaining to us the necessary controls, David sat quietly in the back allowing us to fully appreciate the drive, only answering questions as required. We found this helpful and a very different experience to previous car purchases. The handover of the car, was equally well handled, and the car was ready on our arrival.Telephone calls were handled promptly and follow-up was carried out as agreed.
Overall, in all aspects of the purchase, we were treated efficiently and courteously, never rushed, nor pushed into purchasing something we did not require. We cannot thank David enough for all his attention throughout the purchase.
We are delighted with our BMW and would highly recommend anyone to David Holmes, Stockport.
Looking forward to continuing our relationship with you, as we are hoping to change our other car for a BMW in a couple of years time. Please convey our thanks to all your staff who were so helpful. I first visited your showroom on the 31st August. It was a bank holiday and I had been ignored at the Audi delaership close to you so I came to browse at BMW's. Despite it being passed opening hours, and my determination buy an Audi TT, Martin Bamping stayed late to talk me through the used BMW range.
We looked at a 1 Series, a couple of 3 Series and other options but I wasn't too keen. Through conversation, Martin identified my perfect car. I am now the proud owner of a lovely Z4 Coupe you had in the showroom and I couldn't be happier.
On my second visit, I brought a friend with me for a second opinion, that a friend also ended up buying a nearly identical car from Martin.
I'm sure people often write to complain, I thought I would take the trouble to write and compliment you on the friendliness, skill and efficiency of your team, particularly Martin, who sold two cars to two people who had no intention of buying a BMW.
